Barbara Vanover Werner, 75, of Youngsville, formerly of Bristol, Tennessee, passed away Saturday morning, February 14, 2026, at her home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Pikeville, Kentucky, on October 9, 1950, to the late Hubert & Doris Wade Vanover VanHoose.
Barbara lived in Bristol for ten years before moving to Youngsville to be closer to her sister and family. Throughout her life, she and her late husband made their home in several places, leaving a beautiful mark wherever they went. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, her love for family, and the kindness she extended to those around her. Barbara had a special love for golf and often found joy on the course. Today, we take comfort in imagining her playing on her heavenly course.
She is survived by her sister, Sherry Stephens & husband Michael of Youngsville; brother, Joe Dan Van Hoose & wife Denise of Pikeville, KY; special niece, LeAnne Stephens of Youngsville, Margaret Tolbert of Bristol, TN and Angie Potts of Bristol, VA; along with many other nieces, nephews & extended family who will cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Lewis Werner, Jr.
